BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Argentine President Cristina Fernandez praised Tuesday the solidarity of the Argentine businesses in face of the financial crisis.
Fernandez made the remarks during a welcome lunch Tuesday in honor of Belgian Prince Philippe, who led an 80-member business mission to Argentina.
The president spoke highly of the solidity of the local economy despite the current global financial crisis.
"Argentina is solid to face the current difficulties," Fernandez said, adding that the current crisis requires all countries of the world to form new market regulations.
According to her, bilateral trade between Argentina and Belgium has been increasing since 2003.
Before attending the lunch at San Martin Palace, headquarters of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, Fernandez met Philippe at the Rosada House Tuesday. Philippe arrived in the Argentine capital Sunday.
