BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares dived in the morning session Friday, led by plummeting banking, insurance and securities stocks.
The Shanghai index which includes both A and B shares ended at 2,805.92, down 72.34 points or 2.51 percent from the previous close.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 300.43 points or 2.99 percent to 9,753.85.
The Hushen 300 Index, which reflects both exchanges, closed at 2,886.66, down 89.22 points, or 3.00 percent.
Combined turnover in the two bourses was 61.35 billion yuan (8.79billion U.S. dollars).
