Abul Gheit made his appeal in an interview with the Egyptian Al-Mussawar weekly magazine on Wednesday, days after International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor called for the arrest of Sudanese president over alleged war crimes.
On July 14, ICC Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo formally requested an arrest warrant against al-Bashir for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in the western Sudanese region of Darfur.
Abul Gheit said justice could only be achieved by realizing Sudan's national reconciliation, noting that accusations against al-Bashir will have negative impact on establishing justice in Darfur.
Sudan, which is not a signatory to the ICC, has rejected the ICC allegations against president al-Bashir, dismissing them as "null and false" and maintaining the ICC has no jurisdiction over Sudan.
Egypt has been exerting sustained efforts for settling the Sudanese crisis and will continue to help resolve the crisis in the neighboring country, said Abul Gheit.
