Cast member Jason Biggs poses with two of his co-stars, Siberian huskies Coda Bear (L) and DJ, at the world premiere of Walt Disney Pictures 'Eight Below' at El Capitan theatre in Hollywood February 12, 2006.

"American Pie" star Jason Biggs is in negotiations to star in a TV series from "Arrested Development" creator Mitch Hurwitz.

CBS has given a pilot commitment to the untitled single-camera comedy, which revolves around a family that "loves too much."

Hurwitz and "Arrested" scribe James Vallely are co-writing the script about adult siblings and their parents, who are over-involved in one another's lives.

Hurwitz, whose animated comedy "Sit Down, Shut Up" is slated for a midseason launch on Fox, created and executive produced the CBS comedy "The Ellen Show" before conceiving the Emmy-winning Fox comedy "Arrested," which revolved around the dysfunctional Bluth clan.

Biggs will next be seen in the feature comedy "My Best Friend's Girl," with Kate Hudson and Dane Cook.
