More than 6,000 chickens were scorched to death and 10,000 eggs roasted in a fire at a chicken farm in Xinxiang county, Henan province, on Nov 23.
The blaze broke out at a 600-sq-m chicken farm around 1:45 pm and quickly spread to cover the whole chicken farm.
It was brought under control by fire fighters and locals about 2.30 pm.
Losses amounted to more than 100,000 yuan ($14,700), according to the farm.
A short circuit in an incubator is thought have caused the blaze.
