China's most famous TV hostess has had yet another change of career.
Presenter-turned-singer Li Xiang has now produced her first movie, a romantic comedy, Almost Perfect (Shiquan jiumei). The film, which hit theaters earlier this month, is set in ancient China.
Li and Wang Han, her co-host of Super Girls, the Chinese version of American Idol, both have cameo roles.
Li has always been in the news. She made headlines in 2005 when she married jewelry tycoon Li Houlin and then made a stir again by ending the marriage in less than two years.
But she seems to find solace in the cinema and is already planning her next production.
Word has it that Chris Lee, the winner of the 2005 Super Girls and an A-list idol for teenagers, will top the billing.
