The emir may reappoint the resigned Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammed al-Ahmad al-Sabah, who is his nephew, to form anew cabinet, the report added.
The move came following the cabinet's resignation last Tuesday, when three lawmakers accused the prime minister of malpractice, corruption and wasting public funds, and called for a new head of government who are capable of running the state.
The three lawmakers also accused the prime minister of allowing an Shiite Iranian cleric to enter Kuwait, a sensitive issue in the predominantly Sunni nation.
