The sections of a cable-stayed bridge across the Shijiazhuang-Taiyuan Railway were fully connected on Thursday morning.
The bridge sets a new world record with a weight of 16,500 tons, Xinhua news agency reports.
It is part of the ring road project in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei Province.
