A man who hung a banner expressing his regret from a busy bridge in a bid to win his girlfriend back sparked a heated discussion among netizens in Shangyu, Zhejiang province, recently.
Two days after a passerby took a picture of the unusual banner and posted it on the Internet on Nov 9, a photo of its logo, "Forgive me Zheng Yan, I love you", had been witnessed by 6,000 visitors.
Some people considered his actions romantic while an elderly woman worried it may land all women in the city named Zheng Yan in hot water with their lovers.
The banner was taken away by police, who aren't bothering to investigate "Zheng Yan" or her apologetic boyfriend.
