The information platform will be open to the whole country. It will provide data on organs on offer and in demand as well as match results, the Guangzhou Daily reported today.
Hospitals in Shenzhen will collect information on patients and donors and pass it on to the city's Red Cross Society.
The platform will tell hospitals in Shenzhen the supply and demand of organs and help make arrangements for transplants.
The platform will later be linked to more hospitals in other provinces.
The Shenzhen government spent 1.3 million yuan (US$190,142) developing the platform which has already passed a trial run.
