Well-informed Palestinian sources revealed on Wednesday that Egypt would invite the Palestinian factions, including rival Fatah and Hamas, to Cairo on early December to resume the national dialogue.

The dialogue was due to be launched in Cairo on Nov. 10, but it was postponed after Hamas and Islamic Jihad (Holy War) movements decided not to join until the Palestinian National Authority (PNA)stop arresting their activists in the West Bank.

Egypt has prepared a draft agreement that was scheduled to be discussed and agreed upon in Cairo and sent it to the leaders of the factions. Hamas expressed reservation on several clauses.

The sources told the Gaza-based local news agency (Sama) that Egypt sent an amended document to the leaders of both Fatah and Hamas, which includes several clarifications in the previous document.

"Egypt held a series of contacts with influential Arab countries and briefed them on the new amended draft of the document. Cairo agreed with these countries to send the amended document to Fatah and Hamas leaders," said the sources.

The sources added that Cairo sent two letters to both rival movements calling on them to treat all the outstanding issues that obstruct reaching a national Palestinian reconciliation on the table of dialogue.

The sources also said that Egypt would again receive representatives of the Palestinian faction in Cairo by the end of November, and launch the dialogue on early December to resolve all the issues on the table of dialogue.

After the dialogue was postponed upon Hamas movement's request, the war of media and exchanges of accusations mounted between Hamas and Fatah movement, which basically accepted the Egyptian document without reservations.
