TOKYO, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks declined Wednesday morning on profit-taking following the Nikkei's largest ever single-day rise the previous day.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 136.35 points, or 1.44 percent, from Tuesday to 9,311.22, after the Nikkei rose 1,171.14 points, or 14.15 percent, to end Tuesday at 9,447.57.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 22.78 points, or 2.38 percent, to 933.52.
