According to the report, the explosion, which occurred at 2:50 p.m. local time (1150 GMT), rocked a gunpowder plant of Turkish defense company MKE Barut Factory in Kirikkale province, leaving two people dead and 16 others injured.
The blast also triggered a fire at the plant, said the report, adding that some ambulances and fire engines rushed to the scene of the explosion at the arms factory, the main supplier of Turkey's armed forces.
